According to § 26 of the Austrian Working Hours Act (AZG), every employer is obliged to keep records of the hours worked at the respective plant, specifically the beginning and end of working hours must be recorded and breaks must be documented in a comprehensible manner. The obligation to keep records applies to all workers and employees, with the exception of executive employees and works council members in the exercise of their works council duties.
