Since 1 October 2019, doctors (both general practitioners and specialists) have been able to employ other – equally qualified – doctors.
The idea is to make it easier for young doctors to enter private practice, to enable more flexible working conditions for doctors in private practice and, last but not least, to maintain general practitioners’ practices, especially in rural areas.
If you hire a doctor as an employee, this offers you the chance to significantly increase your service volume and achieve more revenue in your practice, or to enable attractive part-time models for yourself and/or the employee. At the same time, however, you also have numerous obligations as an employer.
